© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Mediamind Service Pack Training for Media Agencies October, 2009
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Localization MediaMind now supports text and character types for all languages. Notes: Non-English text can be entered in MediaMind only and is not supported in ACM. You will be able to view the non-English text in ACM (as entered in MediaMind), but without the option to make changes. You cannot enter non-English text in URLs.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Infrastructure (UI) Enhancements (cont.) Export lists to Excel. You can now export any list (Campaigns, Ads, Creative Assets etc.) to an Excel spreadsheet. The Excel file will show the list items as filtered by you, and in the columns order and sorting preferences that you defined for the page in the Customize View options. The list will not show grouping as defined in your customized view. The complete list of items will be exported, rather than just the number of items displayed in the current page (as selected in Show X in Page). Note: The Excel files are not intended for editing/upload purposes.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Infrastructure (UI) Enhancements (cont.) When lists are grouped (for example: by Advertiser in the campaigns list), you can now expand or collapse all groups at once. Click Expand/ Collapse All at the bottom of the page.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Infrastructure (UI) Enhancements (cont.) When hovering with your mouse over a main tab (not necessarily the tab you are currently working in), the sub tabs are displayed. You can then access a sub tab directly, by clicking on it, instead of having to click on the main tab first. Hover to see sub tabs In this example, while in the Setup page, you can go directly to the Advanced Features under Creative (2nd sub tab under Creative main tab) without having to first click on the Creative main tab.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Infrastructure (UI) Enhancements (cont.) Tree View Enhancements: In tree views such as Creative Assets, Markets and multiple select drop-down menus – you can now start typing a name to jump to it (search for it). Keyboard support now exists for going up and down in lists, as well as expanding and collapsing tree levels. Floating windows now open in a size that fits the available space on the page and according to your screen's resolution. Expand/ collapse lists
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Quick Editing – Copying Placements Previous State When copying placements in the Quick Editing tool, placements were copied automatically without ads. Enhancement Now, when selecting one or more placements to copy, the following options are available: Number of Copies – enter the number of copies to create Copy the placement only Copy the placement with attached ads (with or without clickthrough and tracking URLs)
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Quick Editing – Removed Limitations Some of the fields in Quick Editing, previously marked as mandatory – are no longer mandatory. When adding or removing cost-related columns (Cost Based on, Cost Per Unit, Net Total Cost, Booked Units) to the Quick Editing view, they must be added or removed together as a group, so that all or none appear. Package and cost/target audience columns are no longer required to appear together and can be removed from the view if required.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Ad URLS Plan (previously known as Engagement Plan) The Excel tool used for updating ad URLs and custom interactions has been redesigned. The changes include the following: The name has been changed from Engagement Plan to Ad URLs Plan. The tool can be accessed from the same places as before. Instead of one sheet that includes both URLs and interactions, the plan now consistes of two sheets – one for ads, and one for interactions.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Ad URLS Plan (cont.) When exporting the plan, you can now choose the columns to include, as well as their order in the Excel worksheet. Note: Some columns are selected by default and others are not. New columns have been added to the placements and interactions sheets. Placement and ad classifications have been added. Placement classifications are for reference only. Ad classifications can be updated (all 5 are now available) The file size has been greatly reduced to save time when uploading. The limitation of saving the file in a macro-supported format has been removed (the file can now be saved with an xlsx extension), although is still recommended for using the Copy Ad URLs option (see next).
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Ad URLS Plan (cont.) Copy Ad URLs to Interactions This feature appears in both the ad and interactions worksheets. It works as follows: When selecting one or more ads In the Existing Ads sheet: Click Copy Ad URLs to Interactions to copy the Clickthrough URLs, Agency Tracking URLs, and Site Tracking URLs from the ad(s) to the respective interaction(s) which are of 'Clickthrough' type in the Existing Interactions sheet. When selecting one or more interactions of 'clickthrough' type in the Existing Interactions sheet: Click Copy Ad URLs to Interactions to copy (pull) URLs from associated ads to the selected interaction(s). Enabling and Disabling Ads Until now, the ad status column was read-only, for reference purposes only. You can now update (enable or disable) the ad status in the Ad URLs Plan. Just select Yes or No from the drop-down list.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved AdSnap The following enhancements have been added to the AdSnap feature: The snap date and URL have been added to the AdSnap presentation (PPT). To easily find the AdSnap Complete status, the status is now colored in green.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Creative Attachment – Copying Ads Previous State When attaching ads to placements, ads were copied together with their URLs (clickthrough, third party tracking etc.). This was not required in all cases and in some, lead to mistakes. Enhancement When copying the ads, a floater window opens with the option to choose whether to copy URLs or not.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Creative Attachment – Filter by Ad Dimensions Attaching an ad to a placement with different dimensions may cause the ad to appear distorted when served. Enhancement When attaching ads to placements, the placement list will be filtered according to the chosen ad’s size A user attempting to perform such an attachment will now be notified accordingly. Possible scenarios: Ads list > Attach New Ad/Edit Ad > Campaign Attachment > Placement drop-down list.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Creative Attachment – Placement List Filter Previous State When in the main Ads list you selected an ad(s) and clicked on Attach, the list of placements was not filtered by any specific campaign. Enhancement Now, if you select an ad that is already attached to a campaign, when clicking Attach, the placements list will be filtered by that campaign's ID. If you selected ads from different campaigns, the placements list will be filtered by those campaigns.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Addition of Dimensions to Placement Name in the New/Edit Ad Windows Background The placement's dimensions are important information when attaching an In-Banner ad to a placement. Enhancement The dimensions of In-Banner placements will be added to the placement’s name in the Placement drop-down list in the New/Edit Ad Windows.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Campaigns The following enhancements have been made to the Campaigns entity: The Campaign ID has been added to the main campaign page. You can now bookmark the campaign from within the main campaign page. Allow the creative shop to view campaign data. In the Contacts tab under the Creative Shop Contacts, a checkbox has been added. When selected, creative shops accessing analytics reports can view campaign information in the reports (such as Campaign Name, ID, etc.). Note: This setting is enabled by default.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Campaigns (cont.) Agency has been added to the Campaign list filter, to filter the list by agency name. Campaign Live Status Previous state The campaign's live status was based on impressions served in the past 24 hours. Enhancement The campaign's live status is now reflective of the live placements in the campaign. So a campaign is live if it has at least one live placement, which means at least one click or impression in the past 30 minutes. Also, instead of the Campaign Ended status, the campaign will be indicated as idle, just like for placements.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Placements The following enhancements have been made to the Placements entity: When creating the second placement in a campaign, default serving dates will appear in the start (From) and end (To) date fields. These dates are taken from the first placement added to the campaign. For the third placement onwards, default dates will appear according the first and last dates that appear for previously added placements. This applies for both the placements page (Media Plan View), and for Quick Editing. Serving dates can be changed for placements as far back as three months. Changes to packages (additions, removals, and changes) can be made for packages up to three months in the past. This is an IM Banner – this option previously appeared in the code generation settings only. It has now been added to the placement's main setup page as well, so that you don't have to change code generation settings after creating the placement.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Placements (cont.) Breadcrumbs have been added to the placement and ads pages for easier navigation. For example, access the campaign or advertiser from the placement level. The Advertiser [Name] column can now be added to the placements list. It does not appear by default, but can be added using the Customize View options. Section has been added to the list of available filters. Type in the section name to view placements with a specific section.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Placements (cont.) Until now, to filter the placements list by campaign, you could enter the campaign name in a free text field. You can now select multiple campaigns from a combo box when working in a single account mode. This is especially useful when attaching ads to placements. The 300x600 banner size has been added to the frequently used sizes that appear first in the Banner Size list.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Ads List - Campaign Name Filter Current State Filtering the Ads list by Campaign Name is done by manually entering one campaign name. Enhancement When filtering the Ads list by Campaign Name, the user will be able to select a campaign or a multiple selection of campaigns from a combo box listing all the campaigns on the list. Note: If the Switch Account > Allow a view of all accounts in lists is selected, Campaign Name filed will behave as a textbox.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Tracking Pixel - Dynamic Clickthrough URL Support The Clickthrough URL for tracking pixels now supports the rtu parameter for dynamic clickthrough routing. This is used when a site needs to use a single tracking placement for multiple elements (usually different text links) that require different landing pages. To support dynamic clickthrough URLs for tracking pixels, the site has to add the RTU parameter to the (click) tracking tag. The RTU parameter (&rtu) is the one used in standard EB tags for third- party network click URLs. In tracking tags, this parameter can be used to achieve a dynamic clickthrough URL. The parameter can be added as follows:
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Excel Trafficking The Placement ID property (column) has been added to the Existing Placements sheet in the Excel media plan. It appears as the first column. Tip: This can be very helpful when sending the Media Plan out to clients for approval after trafficking.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Optimization Indications in Ads List In addition to the placement's rotation type, you can now see the optimization setting value in the ads list. Note: This two columns are not in the default view and need to be added using the 'customize view' option
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved System Log A main log page has been added to show historic activities for all entities in the system. This log can be used to view records for different entities in one page rather than having to view the History pages that appear for individual entities (Campaigns, Users, etc.). The log can be accessed from the System Administration section in the main menu. The log can be filtered by entity type, action type, action date, user, etc.. A detailed view is available for each log entry.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Advertiser & Conversions The following enhancements have been made to the Advertiser / Conversion Tags entities: The Conversion Tag ID property (column) has been added to the Excel conversion tags Existing Tags sheet. Page URL is no longer a mandatory field. Support of Third-Party Tracking Tags in Attached (child) Conversion Tags Until now, third-party tracking tags were supported only in master tags and not in attached (child) tags. Now, third-party tracking tags are supported in child tags as well. So when a conversion is reported for the child conversion tag, all third parties will be called as well.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved New Publishing Process – Official Release The new publishing process is officially being released, by opening all publishers to the new process. Just to remind you – there is no more mandatory review process. Agencies can now publish ads and placements, making them immediately available for serving. Publishers on the other hand can still reject ads if they want to, while the agencies can republish ads at any time. For more information, see the video overviews of the new process in the Training Zone: For agencies working in ACM, click here.click here For agencies working in MediaMind, a video demo will be available October 11 th. For publishers working in ACM, click here.click here For publishers working in MediaMind, a video demo will be available October 11 th.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Option to Request Ad Approval When Publishing to Live Rotation This is only for very sensitive cases in which and very specific publishers When publishing attached or rejected ads, you will have the option to request the ad's approval instead of immediately publishing the ad to a live rotation. Now, when publishing an attached or rejected ad, a message will be displayed, asking whether to go ahead and publish, or request an approval beforehand. If you encounter a case where you think this is relevant, please contact Eldad

© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Auto-Initiated Video Enhancement MediaMind can auto-detect auto-initiated video ads. The new related radio buttons will be exposed to CS users and up. The system will make the detection automatically, one single time per ad, once the ad has served 100 impressions (test impressions); CS personnel can then manually modify the selection in case the system made an error in detecting the video start method. Note: Will be uploaded on October 18 th
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Field Label Alignment - Mouse Over Tooltip (Alt Text) Enhancement The label of the Mouse Over Tooltip (Alt Text) field will be aligned in the following windows: New Ad/Edit Ad for Standard Banner, Mass Creation of Standard Banners
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Asset’s Size in New Ad/Edit Ad Windows Enhancement The size of the creative assets, including panels, will be displayed when creating or when editing an ad.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Advanced Features Notification in ‘Edit Ad’ and ‘Ad from Bundle’ Current State The message notifying the user that he still did not set up in MediaMind the advanced features implemented in his ad is currently triggered only when creating the ad. Enhancement This message will be triggered in the following additional scenarios with a ‘don’t show me again’ option: When creating an ad from a bundle When editing an ad.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Keep User’s Last Visited Creative Assets Folder Enhancement The system will remember the user’s last visited Creative Assets folder. The next time the user accesses his Creative Assets list in any scenario, for example when uploading an asset, selecting an asset from the Edit Ad window or accessing the Creative Assets list directly, he will see that folder in focus.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Creative Tagging and Classifications Sections added to Edit Multiple Ads Enhancement The Creative Tagging and Classifications sections will be made available for multiple ads’ editing under the Edit Multiple Ads window.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Sync Ads Enhancements Attach Sync Ads Unit window - If a Sync Ads Unit is attached from the context of a campaign, the campaign will already be selected. Attach Sync Ads Unit window column changes: A new column will be added – Total Ads The ad’s ID will be added to the Ad Name column. Copy Sync Ads Unit window – In case a Sync Ads Unit is copied within the ads list displayed in the campaign’s Creative tab, only ads that are associated to this specific campaign will be copied. All the copied ads will automatically be associated with this specific campaign.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Preview Enhancements When previewing Sync Ad Units an Ad ID column will be displayed in the Information pane > Ads section. A new Status label will be displayed in the Information pane below the ID label both in the ad and placement level. Shared preview – ACM and MediaMind: If the shared preview is sent from a publisher, then only live, published or pending ads will be displayed. If the shared preview was generated within a code package, then only live, published or pending ads will be displayed, regardless of the identity of the user that generated the code package.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved ‘Centered Page’ Label Change Enhancement The label on the ‘Centered Page’ checkbox in the Preview and Positioning windows will change to: Position Relative to the Site’s Content Width: Note: This checkbox is implemented for the following ad formats: Floating ad, Standard Floating ad, Floating Ad with a Reminder, Commercial Break ad, Wallpaper Ad.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Mobile Ads Preview and New Guideline Sizes Level Enhancements Mobile ads preview will be made available in MediaMind. A new Guideline Sizes level will be added to Mobile ads’ preview in the following order: Placement > Ads > Guideline Sizes> Assets Shared preview - When sharing the preview of a multiple selection of ads of which some are Mobile ads, the Mobile ads will not be included in the shared preview.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Support of Google Chrome 3.0, Windows 7 and Mac OS X Snow Leopard Enhancements MediaMind Support: Google Chrome 3 Note: Out-of-Banner ads are not supported on Chrome. © 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved ACM Copying a Dynamic Content Ad Current State and Background Currently if a Dynamic Content ad is created in MediaMind and later copied in ACM V2.5, the Dynamic Content ad level settings are not copied. Enhancement When copying in ACM V2.5 a Dynamic Content ad previously created in MediaMind, the Dynamic Content ad level settings will be copied. This is important in order to support the scenario where a creative shop working in MediaMind attaches a Dynamic Content ad and the media agency working in ACM V2.5 carries on to perform actions of Copy and Copy to Multiple Flights.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Tracking SV Enabling and Disabling Enhancement The user’s actions of Smart Versioning enabling (by uploading a Smart Versioning XML) or disabling will be tracked by the system and displayed in the Ad History section. © 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Packages – IO Total by Highest Rated Placement Current State and Background When setting the ordered impressions in a package, each placement in the package is set with the package’s total ordered impressions. This causes the IO total to appear higher than it should be. Enhancement The IO total for a package will be calculated only by the one placement in the package that has the highest rate. In IOs that include a package(s), two new columns will be added to the IO’s placements list: Package Name – will display the package name if the placement belongs to a package; otherwise it will be blank Included in IO Total* – displays Yes if the placement is included in the IO total (applies to non-packaged placements as well) and No if it is not.

© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved No Billing Info Alert – To External Contacts Current State and Background It is technically possible to create publisher and network (and creative shop) accounts without entering billing information. This may result in IOs generated absent billing information, and consequently, in campaigns on hold. To prevent this scenario an alert is sent to the relevant internal account manager and sales representative of the paying account notifying them that this has occurred. However, external users are not notified Enhancement The alert will be sent every time an IO is generated absent billing information. The alert will be sent also to the Site Contacts of the campaign if the site is the campaign’s paying account.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Internal Users Enabled to View and Filter All Accounts’ IOs Current State and Background MediaMind enables the account manager to work in the mode of access to all accounts’ data, thus eliminating the need to switch accounts. However currently, the following is not enabled: In Campaign > Costs > Eyeblaster Costs – viewing the campaign’s IOs. In the Insertion Orders list – searching for Ios from diffeent accounts using the filter Enhancement In Campaign > Costs > Eyeblaster Costs, the Other Insertion Orders section will display all the campaign’s IOs including billing information and currency figures (currently hidden to all users), and will include the toolbar enabling performance of actions on the IOs. The Insertion Orders list will enable filtering out other accounts’ IOs.

© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved IO Alert Recipients List Current State and Background Currently, when a media agency is a campaign’s paying account (either as sole paying account or among others), the IO alerts are sent not only to the account’s billing contact but also to all the account’s users that have permission to sign or view the IO. Enhancement In case a media agency is a campaign’s paying account, and a billing contact is set for the campaign, the IO alerts should be sent to the following: Billing contact of the paying account Billing contact of the campaign (the media agency) Users assigned specifically to this IO. This applies to the following alerts: IO Generated IO Revised IO not signed reminder. Note: This will not affect who can sign or view the IO, nor does it affect IOs where the paying account is not a media agency.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved IO - Ad Size Added, Default Banner Changed to Default Image Enhancement In the IO’s Placement Details section, in the ad level, a new Ad Size column will be added. In the IO’s Stop Serving Details section, the Default Banner CPM label will be changed to Default Image CPM.
© 2009 Eyeblaster. All rights reserved Separate Invoices for Premium Features and CC4S Enhancement The system will enable the user to receive separate invoices for: All Premium Features Channel Connect for Search (CC4S) only. The user will be able to define the related settings either in the account level or in the Premium Features level.
