2 33 Riches of Divine Grace Jan 13, 2008 Bob Eckel 2 In the Eternal Plan of God Foreknow, proginōskō – to have knowledge beforehand –Rom 8:29 - For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. –I Pet 1:2 - Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. –Eph 1:5 - Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To whom do all these verses pertain? –Not the non elect !!!!!!!!!!! Why?

7 33 Riches of Divine Grace Jan 13, 2008 Bob Eckel 7 In the Eternal Plan of God II Pet 3:9 - The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 1 Tim 2:4 - who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. - God casts no one to hell!! Is it at all surprising, however, how the skeptic (unbeliever) responds?

Chosen, eklegō – picked out, selected Same root word as elect - eklektos –Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: –1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

And the chosen are those that respond to His endless grace by faith – Eph 2:8 Remember He would have none perish – II Pet 3:9 Matt 22:14 For many are called, but few [are] chosen.

12 33 Riches of Divine Grace Jan 13, 2008 Bob Eckel 12 In the Eternal Plan of God And from where does this saving faith get generated? –Man is incapable - I Cor 2:14 –Yet we are created in His image – Gen 2:26 The ability to respond to what He has revealed and His truth is therefore available to all Now getting the message out And to us who are the called – –1 Cor 7:24 Brethren, let each one remain with God in that state in which he was called. GRACE, GRACE, GRACE, GRACE, GRACE, GRACE, GRACE Rom 10:13,14 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
