6 STEPS FOR CHECKING THE LIQUID NITROGEN TANK AT ARRIVAL Applies for all CALAVAC FROZEN and CALACELL FROZEN (Mareks) Vaccines C.A. LABORATORIOS ASOCIADOS
1) All Liquid nitrogens dewards (tank) are previously filled with liquid nitrogen before departure of CALA`S finish product wharehouse. The level of liquid nitrogen is mesured with a long stick after filling and it has to be above 14 inches before departure. 2) All Liquid nitrogens dewards (tank) are packed in a carton box that has a diamond shape opening for eye inspection. This box also has the universal symbols for hanndling dangerous goods 3) All the carton boxes contain a device called TILTWATCH. If the grey dot is red it means that the deward has been tilted by more that 45 degrees, causing a possible spill of Liquid Nitrogen and therefore possible damage to the cell asociated Mareks vaccines
4) The TILTWATCH is place inside the BOX as shown in the picture. Please check this device before clearing the goods at your customs. 5) All the caps of the Liquid Nitrogen Dewatds (tanks) comes sealed as shown in the picture. Every seal has a unique number that will be provided to you before shipment. It is very importnat you check that the seal has not been violated before you clear the goods form your customs. If the seal has been violated please inform inmidiately in writting to the airline and to CALA
6) You need to have a long 36 inches stick to measure the liquid nitrogen level before you clear the goods at your customs 5) If the Liquid Nitrogen level is below 12 Inches, you need to notify inmidiately in writting to the Airline and to CALA before you clear the vaccines from your customs, otherwise the responsability of any loss will be yours. CALA insurance company will not be able to prove otherwise. 6) The Yellow area covers from 14 inch to 12 inch level. The vaccines are Ok but need to be filled up soon with LN2.
