Scholarships  $129,000 in scholarships awarded in 2013/2014  Scholarships awarded both at Society and Chapter level  $60,000 minimum gift to endow a chapter scholarship  $100,000 minimum gift to endow scholarships from individuals, corporations or foundations  Donors can set scholarship selection criteria  Invested by the Foundation’s professional money manager  Scholarship selection overseen by Scholarship Trustees  Total endowed principal amount for all scholarships $2,796,600 in 2013/2014

ASHRAE Learning Institute  ALI trains HVAC&R engineers in the field  Use traditional instructor-based as well as self-directed studies  Foundation support allowed ALI to develop online learning module  ALI still needs to charge tuition for materials  Increasing the ALI endowment will expand learning opportunities  The total amount granted to ALI for 2013/2014 was $110,000

Research Endowment  Research permits ongoing technical advances  Important projects that advance the profession  Positions ASHRAE as the unsurpassed leader in HVAC&R standards  Endowment relieves pressure for annual RP Campaign  Total endowed principal for 2013/2014 period was $1,498,300  Research endowments distributed $57,400 in 2013/2014 to support the RP Campaign
