Once again TAS fielded a Team in the Manawatu Secondary Schools Mixed Grade, with games played in Palmerston North, on Mondays. Pre-season training began in February, with competition games starting at the beginning of term 2
As is normal the TAS Team comprised a mix of very new, and experienced players. After 5 years Kerran was easily the most experienced. However a positive outlook and never give up attitude, counts for a lot, and in the end this served the Team very well.
The TAS Team comprised (* denotes a first year player): Kerran Clark (Captain) Andrea Conlon* Kelsey Eames Josh Fellingham Emma McCaughan* Melissa Mete James Morrison Bailey Nathan

Final Unfortunately, despite an excellent and dominant first half, the Cornerstone Christian School Team proved too strong and won the final. Overall however, it was a very enjoyable and successful Competition, with 2 nd a realistic and satisfactory result.
North Island Mixed Tournament Next week TAS is playing in the North Island Mixed Tournament in Levin.16 Teams are participating (4 pools of 4). Our Pool Games are against: Pomapllier Catholic College; Rotorua Lakes High School; and Aotea College. From Wednesday we play cross over games.
The Mixed Tournament is a real highlight of the year, and the opportunity to test ourselves against our peers from all over the North Island. For us it is a real challenge – we have a pool of 17 players compared with hundreds in some of the other schools. Our goal is to emulate or improve on our best effort - 4 th three years ago in Ngatea.
Thanks A special thanks to our supporters. While we were disappointed not to win the Mixed Competition, we have an opportunity to redeem ourselves at the North Island Mixed Tournament next week.
