3 THE LOCATION AND POPULATION The Institute is located in a working class suburb north west of Rome. This is a densely populated area with a mixed social and cultural background. High numbers of migrant students, mostly from South America, Asia, Eastern Europe 3 courses of study Industrial Technical Institute-ITI ITC Trade Technical Institute; High School Applied Sciences 24 classroom ( 10 for ITI, 9 for Liceo; 5 ITC) 17 laboratories 520 pupils 62 teachers 20 ATA

17 Our school under the snow We do actually get some every ten years or so

18 Trastevere is on the west bank of the Tiber, south of the Vatican. Its name means literally "beyond the Tiber". Thanks to its partial isolation (it was "beyond the Tiber") and to the fact that it its population had been multicultural since the ancient Roman period, the inhabitants of Trastevere, called Trasteverini, developed a culture of their own.
