2 Read page 214 in class Watch “Ezra – Background History” Go to page 215: “When home is not what you imagined” Source of Jewish “remnant” prejudice toward the Samaritans from the North: – The Samaritans offered help & were rebuffed – They report it to the new king of Persia as “rebellion” – The new king halts construction of the temple for 18 years
