2 © IPC, 2008 Meeting Mark Ellis / IPC, Brussels, 02 nd September 20082 Future of Mail by Air Initiative; Reliable data and event reports  Post and Carriers agree that a reliable POA and POD is required  Posts need receptacle ID level info also for the transport segment, require event reporting on possession, uplift, transfer and delivery; CARDIT- RESDIT messaging provides that  “Virtual events” and “assumed data” are completely useless, misleading and harmful  EDI messages need to leave no doubt as to what event is reported and at what level the data capturing did take place at the reported event
