Edgar Degas was a famous artist in the 1800. He was born on July 19, 1834. His parents were Celestine Musson De Gas and Augustin De Gas. Degas starting taking art classes when he was a young boy. Many people and artists inspired Degas to become an artist.
Degas did not paint like any person. He had his own ways and most of the time crossed the boundaries for painting. Some people did not like the way Degas painted but a lot of people thought that his paintings were outstanding. Degas enjoyed sculpting, painting, and drawing.
Edgar Degas died on September 27, 1917 in Paris, France. He was 83 years old. Many of his beautiful paintings were found after he died. It was later exhibited in museums.
Edgar Degas created The New Orleans Cotton Exchange in 1873.
Edgar Degas made this painting and called it the Musicians in the Orchestra.
