Hi, everyone, as a review from unit 7, I´m going to describe myself.
My name is Teach and I´m a young teacher. I´m in my late 20’s…. and…
Ah… I´m not really slim, but I´m not heavy either, I might say… I´m athletic! Some people say that I´m tall, but I think I´m average height. I remember that when I was a kid, I was very short.
Also, I have a very short black hair, and I have black eyes. I don´t have a mustach and I don’t have a beard either. I usually shave every morning! Cool, isn´t it?
Remember that we must use to be, (am, is, are), to describe people´s characteristics such as age, height and weight, and use have (has) to talk about people´s eyes, and hair. clear?
Now, let me describe one of my students, she’s a very good friend of mine, also.
This is Jenny, she studies Advanced English at Siglo 21.
Well, … Jenny is blonde, she´s in her early 20’s, she’s short and she´s also very thin. And… she’s beautiful, of course.
Well, I´m not in my 20´s; actually…. I´m a teenager!!! And… I think I´m not so skinny, I´m slim! Well, I´m not in my 20´s; actually…. I´m a teenager!!! And… I think I´m not so skinny, I´m slim!
Mmmm, you´re right.
Ok, let’s continue, Jenny has blonde hair and hazel eyes.
hazel eyes? I have blue eyes!!!! hazel eyes? I have blue eyes!!!!
Oh yes, blue eyes. Jenny has blue eyes. And I think… Jenny has a little mustache.
Ohhh, come on Teach!!! I´m young… I´m a girl… I don´t have any mustache! Ohhh, come on Teach!!! I´m young… I´m a girl… I don´t have any mustache!
Don´t worry my dear Jenny, I was just joking., Oh, Teach!, Oh, Teach!
Well, we have to say good bye. It has been a pleasure. We’ll see you next time.
