Adjectives ending in –ing and -ed Study the difference : Bored = how smb. feels because something is boring Ex. Kate is bored because she has nothing to do. Boring = we say about something Ex. That movie is boring. The lecture is deadly boring. Note: there is a difference between: Kate is bored. (because she has nothing exciting to do) Kate is boring. (people do not like being with her because she has nothing exciting to say)
Grammar the adjective ends in –ing when the person or thing is the cause of the final effect the –ing describes what certain things or people are like Ex. My job is interesting. the adjective ends in –ed when the person or thing experiences the final effect The –ed tells you how the person feels Ex. He is such an interesting person. He knows everything!
