Comfort In Crisis Crisis = Turning Point! 13:18-30; :6

Need for Comfort (1) “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. (2) In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (1) “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. (2) In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

1. Judas - Crisis of Faithfulness (13:18-30) (18)... but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.’... (21) When Jesus had said these things, He was troubled in spirit, and testified and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.” (18)... but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.’... (21) When Jesus had said these things, He was troubled in spirit, and testified and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.”

Second Chance? (22) Then the disciples looked at one another, perplexed about whom He spoke... (25) Then, leaning back on Jesus’ breast, he said to Him, “Lord, who is it?” (26) Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. (27) Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.” (28) But no one at the table knew for what reason He said this to him.... (30) Having received the piece of bread, he then went out immediately. And it was night.

Comfort 1 Corinthians 10:12,13 12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

2.Peter - Crisis of Failure (13:36-38) (36) Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, where are You going?” Jesus answered him, “Where I am going you cannot follow Me now, but you shall follow Me afterward.”

2.Peter - Crisis of Failure (13:36-38) (37) Peter said to Him, “Lord, why can I not follow You now? I will lay down my life for Your sake.” (38) Jesus answered him, “Will you lay down your life for My sake? Most assuredly, I say to you, the rooster shall not crow till you have denied Me three times.

Second Chance? Luke 22:60-62 (60) But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are saying!” Immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. (61) And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” (62) So Peter went out and wept bitterly.

Comfort John 21:15 (15) So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.”

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

3. Thomas - Crisis of Faith (14:1-6) (5) Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” (6) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Second Chance? John 20:24,25 (24) Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. (25) The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”

Comfort John 20:28,29 (28) And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” (29) Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Where is your Crisis? Faithfulness? Faithfulness? Failure? Failure? Faith? Faith?
