1 “Going to” - We use “be going to + verb” to talk about future plans. She´s going to buy a new car. - We can also use “be going to + verb (infinitive) for predictions. Look at the clouds. It’s going to rain.

2 Structure  Affirmative Subject + verb to be + GOING TO+ infinitive  I am going to read a book  They are going to the beach next summer.

3 Negative  Subject + negative form of To be + GOING TO + infinitive  Example:  I am not going to clean my bedroom  She isn’t going to a party tonight.

4 Interrogative  Verb To be + subject + GOING TO+ infinitive:  Example:  Are you going to study Medicine?  Is she going to the countryside this weekend?

5 I am going to read You are going to read He is going to read She is going to read It is going to read We are going to read You are going to read They are going to read Affirmative (full form)

6 Am I going to read? Are you going to read? He is going to read? Is she going to read? Is it going to read? Are we going to read? Are you going to read? Are they going to read? Interrogative

7 I am not going to read You are not going to read He is not going to read She is not going to read It is not going to read We are not going to read You are not going to read They are not going to read Negative (full form)

8 Interrogative words + going to  What are you going to study? Medicine  Where are you going to study? At the University.  When are you going to study? Next year.  How are you going to go to University? By bus.  Why are you going to study Medicine? Because I like it.  How many books are you going to buy? One book
