What is the present progressive?

2 The present progressive/continuous tense is used for something happening NOW

4 Present continuous can also be used to talk about the future

11 Repeated actions (irritating) that include always, constantly, forever
Andrew is always coming late. Now that it is the weekend the weather forecast is for rain. At the moment, she is unable to seat any more people in the restaurant. If you listen, you will understand why I cannot help you right now.

12 The present progressive can suggest that an action is going to happen in the future, especially with verbs that convey the idea of a plan or of movement from one place or condition to another: "The team is arriving in two hours. He's moving to Portland this summer." Because the present progressive can suggest either the present or the future, it is usually modified by adverbs of time.
