EQ: WHAT IS SUNLIGHT?
Photon Absorption and Emission Photon Continuous stream of photons (light) emitted by energized vibrating electrons. Wavelengths of light depends on energy quantum of fall-back. Vibrating charges interact to make magnetic field too, so photons are electromagnetic (em) waves. All emitted wavelengths create em spectrum.
Emission and Absorption Line Spectrum for H Emission lines are the photons given off by specific electrons making specific fall-backs. Continuous spectrum from solar fusion Absorption lines from elements in solar “atmosphere” (photosphere and chromosphere)
Solar Radiation Spectral analysis of light can indicate composition, temperature, and radial velocity of celestial bodies.
