How It Works Snowmaking is an intricate science that involves the atomizing of water. It works by spraying the water in such small droplets that it freezes in mid air and lands on the ground as snow.
The differrence Man made snow is no different than natural snow in condition. The only difference is in the shape of the crystal. Natural snow flakes have rigid edges Artificial snow is round balls that tend to last longer in warm tempatures.
Different types of guns There are three different kinds of snowmaking guns.
Fan guns Use a powerful fan to create hang time for the water particles to freeze Have different nozzle rings to put out different ammount of water can be put out. The more water you are putting out the more snow you are making.
Tower guns They have the same basic concept as fan guns. Require large amounts of compressed air to run.
