Since baseballs are launched and gravity is acting upon them, the baseball is also known as a projectile. Therefore, a baseball being thrown is considered to be an example of projectile motion.
Jumping for the ball, or leaping for a slam dunk, the human body follows the same laws of projectile motion as do other objects.
The body resembles a projectile subject to all the laws that govern projectile motion while the rope becomes a dynamic flywheel subject to all the laws that govern rotary motion. This meaning, jumping rope turns your body into an example of projectile motion
A bullet is a projectile propelled by a firearm, sling, or air gun. Since the bullet is following a parabolic trajectory, we can assume that it is an example of a projectile motion.
The Spitting Cobra's projectile can spray up to a 2.5m trajectory. It has to rear up and fling its body forward in order to spray its venom. The snake’s venom being the projectile, and the snake being the launcher, makes for a perfect example of projectile motion.
The frog’s tongue projectile-like motion is extended to catch insects as food. Since it follows a parabolic trajectory, it can be considered an example of projectile motion.
Elephants suck water up into the trunk (up to fifteen quarts or fourteen liters at a time) and then blow it into their mouth. Elephants also inhale water to spray on their body during bathing. When they project this water, it follows a parabolic trajectory as it leaves the trunk. Hence, the elephant’s bathing process would be an example of projectile motion.
When jumping off of a diving board you launch yourself vertically and then begin following a trajectory that is parabolic. All those times you’ve done a cannon ball did you know you were an example of projectile motion?
As a dirt bike leaves its ramp it rises vertically until it hits its peak, then continues downward. Since it was launched, and only gravity is acting upon the bike, it becomes the perfect example of projectile motion.
Snow ball fights are the best thing about winter. After throwing one, did you ever notice its trajectory? When its launched a certain way it follows a parabolic trajectory with only gravity acting upon it. Therefore, it is also an example of projectile motion.
