Washington has almost 55,000 nonprofits – Organization to watch out for the health of the nonprofit ecosystem in all regions – Unite the sector – reputation and public policy influence – Efficiency & Effectiveness – best practices and shared resources 35 other states have associations -Some in existence for over 20 years -Active in state and federal public policy -Provide valued products and services to over 500,000 NPOs -Active network of SA’s that collaborates and supports each other

7 WHO IS WASHINGTON NONPROFITS? 1.Gathering together the voices from across the state and speaking out about the strength and importance of the sector in our communities 2.Mapping areas of greatest need and rallying the resources to tackle the challenges 3.Tying together everyone who supports NPOs to coordinate, collaborate and accelerate growth and success in NPO’s missions.
