Word-of-Mouth for CiviCRM Know our users – Have accurate general quantities for marketing – Build a community that goes beyond the ‘actives’ – Be able to pinpoint ‘stars’ & engage directly Build the CiviCRM brand – Not be the ‘Best kept secret anymore’ – Increase consideration of CiviCRM for new projects – Visibility with key ‘sources’: bloggers, evaluators, purchasing, etc. Engage the user community – Have x times more leverage than on our own – Leverage user’s customers, social networks, etc. – Provide visibility to encourage more participation
Know our users Metrics – How many downloads / active installs? (OK) – Where? Which NP sector? How many users? – Ways to get in touch with the organization Collection – Pingback, sourceforge.net, c.o & forum, jira – Civicrm.org registration – Embedded registration (DG: more links during the install/upgrade/org info page) Presentation – Pingback statistics (Coleman + Michael [NG]) – Message on home page (how to do without redesign? [NG]), – Link to searchable worldwide map freeform.ca) – DB for marketing/outreach (organization and contact) Part of the registration form that is already existing.
