6. WHO DO WE SEND TO? To soldiers who have local connections A HOG member, their family member, friend or coworker If we don’t have that, we branch out to our FRIENDS for a soldier to bless

7. SOLDIER INFORMATION REQUESTED Name, Rank, Branch of Service Mailing address, email address for communication How many people in troop/unit/squad (women/men) Specific needs? Do they have access to microwaves. Their location? (i.e. Iraq, Afghanistan, etc) Occupation, tour dates, & age

8. HOW TO CHOOSE WHAT TO STUFF? The chosen soldier completes a questionnaire to tell us what is needed in the area he or she is stationed

9. CARE PACKAGES 1 gallon zip lock bags gets: Thank you (for your service) message, gospel tract from Temple Baptist Church & blank paper w/ self addressed return envelope (in hopes of hearing back from the soldier) Non-perishable food items Louisiana items Time fillers (Decks of cards, puzzles)

10. MORE STUFFINGS In addition, they like: Beef jerky, protein bars, ramen noodles Peanuts, drink flavors, candy, crackers TOILETRIES and spices need to be in a bulk box, the food can absorb the odor and makes the food taste like soap, etc, therefore contaminates the food!

14. SOLDIER POSTAGE FUND 2008 – 2010 Harley Davidson of Baton Rouge paid for postage 2011 we had to start raising our own funds The BR HOG Soldier Postage Fund is housed through Temple Baptist Church GOD has shown his mighty hand, providing money to send the packages overseas

WAYS TO SUPPORT OUR SOLDIERS Donate money to purchase items (if you don’t like to shop) Donate your time & come join us to stuff the packages Donate shipping tape, envelopes, offer to make copies for us Help fold letters, label, tape and count boxes, etc Drop off 1 gallon size “ziplock” bags already stuffed Please remember not to mix soaps or shampoos with food items, as the food will absorb the odors and contaminate it.
