2 Veterans Affairs The Department of Veterans Affairs is an organization that helps veterans in need. Lots of people help in this important military resource, but a very important person is Jim Nicholson. He is the director of Veterans Affairs.

3 Jim Nicholson Jim Nicholson directs The Department of Veterans Affairs. He graduated from The U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1961. He also is the head of The Veterans Wheelchair Games.

4 Wheelchair Games Veterans, who are in wheelchairs, can compete in their favorite sports and many others. That is what the Veterans Wheelchair Games are. These games are very popular. In 1981 the Wheelchair Games started with 74 veterans and has grown to 575 competing veterans.

5 Conclusion We are happy that someone is kind enough to put a lot of effort, time, and money into making veterans feel good about themselves because they can participate in games and competitions meant for them. We think that Jim Nicholson is an amazing person for helping veterans and their families so much.
