2 Key Customer Themes : Back To School: 10 bays of school uniforms, school shoes, coats, children's books, lunch boxes and stationery. This is located on the seasonal aisle and highlighted with high signs and bus stops. Tesco Clubcard Fuel Save - The More You Shop, The More You Save: Signage was displayed throughout store and outside the store entrance. Tesco Bank Car Insurance - Save Money With Your Clubcard: Signage is displayed on every till and signs suspended from the ceiling behind the till area. General Feel: The School and Clubcard promotions seemed to be most impactful themes in store. Shelves were stacked well and plenty of staff seen helping customers. These offers were supported by header boards, shelf edge strips and shelf barkers. Summer Savers: Offers in store were highlighted with header boards and shelf fins. General Feel: The store was clean and tidy and being stocked at time of visit. All fuel save POS had been removed and the only theme was special offers. 4 Key Deals: Key Customer Themes : One Stop School Shop Class Of 2014: There are 21 bays of school accessories highlighted with overhead signs, bus stops, barkers and a long floor sticker. School Fuel Class of 2014: There are high signs in the snack and frozen areas. Household Sale: ½ price sale on household products sited over 4 bays bordered with high signs, bus stops and bunting. Let's Garden: There were front of store bulk stacks of barbecue and garden equipment. This theme was also highlighted on gondola ends. Baby Event: The seasonal aisle was seen to be promoting offers on baby items using overhead signs and bus stops. There was also front of store stacks seen of nappies. Big Savings On Big Brands: There was signage at the front of the store and in the centre of the aisles. Chill Out You'll Be 10% Better Off At Asda: Signs were seen over the checkouts. General Feel: The most impactful promotion seen was the school event and the household sale. The ‘Let's Garden’ sale is reducing down. The shelves were slightly messy shelves in the promotional areas, but plenty of staff on hand. Great Offers : These offers were seen on a gondola end advertising the best deals. Hurry Offers Ends Sunday: Beanies locatedall around the store on reduced items. Everyday Low Prices: Beanies seen along side the other promotional POS. General Feel: There was no particular theme seen in store. The entrance and checkout areas had no overhead signage. This is a relatively new store and spacious with low key advertising at eye level. The shelves were very tidy and stacked well. Plenty of staff on hand to assist. Drinks Festival: This theme has various drinks offers including 25% off selected wines supported by bunting and snow ploughs. Brand Match: This theme continues in store. It is supported by outside A boards and bus stops in store. General Feel: The store was clean tidy and well stocked. General Feel: Back To School appeared to be the main event. Summer Sorted is gradually being phased out. Some chillers were fairly empty, but all other promotional areas well stocked. Plenty of staff on hand to assist customers. Outdoor Activities: There were 6 bays containing outdoor clothing accessories, walking boots, spotlight and lanterns, flasks, fishing line and hooks all located in the centre, front aisle of the store. Summer Sale Up To 50% Off: There were 4 bays of sandals, sunbrellas, flippers and books. Shirts and t-shirts were located in the centre aisle rear of the store. How Much Could You Swap & Save / Swap & Save Up To 45%: Signage for this theme was displayed throughout the store. General Feel: The main themes appeared to be school and outdoor wear. The summer sale was gradually reducing down. There were plenty of bulk stacks and it was slightly disorganised in the promotional areas. There were plenty of staff around.
