10. Charles Goeldner: 24 – 29 April 2012, Fethiye,Turkey Professor emeritus of tourism and marketing at the University of Colorado, Boulder. His over 200 publications include “Tourism: Principles, Practices, Philosophies, 12 th edition” and “Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Research: A Handbook, 2 nd edition”. He founded the “Journal of Travel Research” in 1972 and served as editor for over 30 years. He is widely recognized for his work with the ski industry and the tourism industry. TTRA has designated its annual “Journal of Travel Research” best article of the year award the “Charles R. Goeldner Article of Excellence Award.” He is listed in Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who in America.
