Advancement of Information Technology and emerging trends in Internet has changed the concept of portal where the internal and external resources are the main components to the new system called “Knowledge portal”. It offers various internal, external resources with other services which encompass and management of books, journals, databases, Web-sites, learning objects, library catalogue, email, forums, lesson learned, best practices and experiences of individual. It contains intelligent agent software to identify and automatically distribute information and knowledge effectively to knowledge workers based on knowledge profile
