2 Phase 1 Project Status: Construction Continued sidewalk modifications on West side of Flower Street between 23 rd and Washington Continued procurement of the 61” water line for Work Package A4, 61” Water Line Relocation Continued potholing for utilities in Segments A and B FFP continues submitting construction submittals for trench construction Completed exploratory drilling at Flower/Exposition grade separation to support final trench design Continued negotiating construction costs for Work Package A3, Trench Construction 2

3 Phase 1 Project Status: CPUC Grade Crossing Applications 44 crossings on the project require CPUC approval 39 grade crossing applications have been filed 5 grade crossing applications require additional analysis prior to submittal to the CPUC  Farmdale Ave.  Watt Way  Trousdale Pedestrian Crossing  Menlo Ave.  Vermont Ave. Protests have been filed on all 36 grade crossing applications  A modified design approach is under development with LADOT and CPUC for the 8 grade crossings protested by CPUC 3

4 Phase 1 Project Status: Real Estate Completed termination of 44 leases; 24 leases remain active Total of 17 active acquisition parcels 13 property appraisals are complete Offers have been made for 13 parcels 3 agreements are signed and in escrow 1 parcel has been acquired 4

13 April 2007 Met with Union Local 300 Field Representatives to discuss progress in hiring new and existing union members from the Expo corridor. Will meet with the Union on a monthly basis. Continued to use PVJOBS workers to distribute construction notices and public meeting announcements throughout the corridor. Distributed Expo Jobs Program information throughout the Expo Corridor to libraries, community organizations, senior centers and retail establishments Continued to update database of individuals interested Summary of Jobs Program Activities: 13

14 AA/EIS/Conceptual Engineering Organized and summarized approximately 3,000 communications (letters, scoping cards, s, etc.) regarding project scoping. Distributed comments among disciplines for review and action as required. Prepared draft Scoping Report for internal review Conducted Agency Scoping meeting Continued data collection on various environmental issues, e.g., biological resources, historic resources, etc. Continued Phase 1 Grade Crossing Policy analysis development for LRT alternatives Continued monitoring of Metro Ridership model and coordinated with FTA Phase 2 Project Status: 14
