Environmental Choice Last 12 months the number of licensed companies has increased from 12 to 27 Over 700 products with Environmental Choice accreditation Licenced products include toner cartridges, office furniture, textiles, paints, paper, photocopiers
Govt 3 Focuses support in 4 areas: 1.Transport 2.Waste/recycling 3.Office consumables and equipment 4.buildings
Waste Reduction in waste: The Treasury 80% NZ Transit 70% MED 62% Te Puni Kokiri 52%
Office Consumables paper office equipment cleaning chemicals stationery
Atria for natural day-lighting and ventilation Double skin facades to main street frontages Heating and cooling supply by existing chillers and new heat pumps Energy efficient lighting and controls Solar and heat pump hot water system Energy management system DoC head office
Environment House 40% energy usage –saves $100,000 annually 26% decrease on 2003/2004 CO2 emissions Increase in the number of people cycling 22% decrease in waste to landfill
Govt 3 Reporting Framework Annual Govt 3 Survey Baseline year will be 2005/06 Key indicators on energy use, waste, paper use, tenders and contracts.
