1.5 GOAL! Objective: Today you will identify goals and strategies to achieve them.
Think, Pair & Share Discuss and name a goal you will like to achieve. We have spent some time discussing the qualities we like in ourselves and those we admire in others. Today we are going to talk about areas we would like to improve in and goals we would like to set ourselves.
Many of the goals we set for ourselves involve things we would like to learn or do better. Once we identify a goal, we can figure how best to achieve it; its important to consider what we need to do to attain our goal, what could get in the way and who might be able to help us in the process. Do you have a personal goal this year you would like to achieve? Can you think of something you would like to learn or improve in? You also may want to improve the way you behave or act and set a goal of earning tickets/stars on your chart at school or earning smiles on your chore chart at home. No matter what your goal, achieving it takes dedication and practice.
Activity: Learning by Doing Think about a goal and how you can achieve it this year. Write your response in your Mutt-i-gree Manuscript. We will share some of the classmates goals with the class.
Closing Today we talked about setting goals and finding ways to achieve them. With help, we can make changes that improve things for ourselves, other people and animals.
