Who? – Previous political experience – Social Class – Most married women were drawn in by their husbands from the beginning.
What gave them an edge The fact that they were female Younger men would draw attention
What they did on the home front Houses could have been used for stocking arms or as a post box. Took care of injured soldiers
Actively Involved Some women chose to be actively involved. – Intelligence agents – Took in and helped save the lives of Jewish children and other refugees. – Infiltrating the Gestapo. Luring German officers.
