Operation Torch Stalin, Soviet Union, had been insisting on 2 nd Western Front. The Battle of El Alamein was primarily fought between two of the outstanding commanders of World War Two, Bernard Montgomery, of Great Britain and Erwin Rommel, of Germany. The Allied victory at El Alamein lead to the retreat of the Afrika Korps. General Dwight Eisenhower of United States, carries out an operation which called for three main landings to take place at Casablanca, Oran, and Algiers in the west of Africa.

Casablanca FDR meets with Churchill Announces that we will only accept an “Unconditional Surrender” of the Axis nations. 1.War will not end through negotiation. 2.Axis powers must surrender. 3.Victors will decide the fate of the defeated. 4.Germany and Japan must be prepared to fight to the bitter end. 5.Assure the Soviets that we will not cut a deal with Hitler and leave them on their own.
