We Are What We Think
Ro 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, … Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:1-2
Ro 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:1-2 A Living Sacrifice
The mind is like the land, it doesn’t matter what the seed is … it will give you back what you sow
He who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption He who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life Galatians 6:7-9 For whatever a man sows, that he will also reap “let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
Matthew 7:16-19 You will know them by their fruit Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes? Every good tree bears good fruit A bad tree bears bad fruit
We can sow discord Pr 6:16-19 (These six things the Lord hates …) A proud look A lying tongue Hands that shed innocent blood A heart that devises wicked plans Feet that run to evil A false witness who speaks lies One who sows discord among the brethren
We can sow love 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.' Pr 10:12 Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins. Pr 17:9 He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates friends.
Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-- meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8 Finally Brethren
