In another corner lambs watch curiously the camera
Behind them, an ageless Bedouin women presents her chickens
An elder passes next to a turkey While a young vendor offers his desert quails.
Probably the youngest local entrepreneur presents her birds too. The market fills up
In the second market traditional Bedouin tools are presented, as well as brass works.
In another corner well covered women offer Bedouin garments As well as various complementing ornamnets.
Most striking are hand made embroideries, made for decorating camels and horses.
When: Every Thursday morning, between c. 7:00 to 10:30. Where: The animal market takes place on the hill next to the junction of “Derekh Hebron” and “Derekh Eilat”. The non-animal market takes place 200 m south, on the other side of “Derekh Eilat” From Tel-Aviv Welcome! The Bedouin Market in Beer-Sheva can be a starter for a great tour of city, or its nearby Air-force museum, or just a stop on the way to Eilat. Either way it is a great experience!
