The Padaung of Myanmar (neck elongation) Group 2 高宇賢 黃文謙 洪啟恩
Background Padaung (Yan Pa Doung) is a Shan term for the Kayan Lahwi (the group whose women wear the brass neck coils).Shan Most of the Kayan people in Mae Hong Son are formerly from nine villages in Karenni State.
Culture ： Brass Coils Neck rings are formed with one or more spiral metal coils Girls first start to wear rings when they are around five years old.
Why they waer brass coils? the desire to look more attractive by exaggerating sexual dimorphism give the women resemblance to a dragon, an important figure in Kayan folklore
Each culture has its own values. What we think beautiful may be strange to those who have different cultures.
