49 CONCLUSIONS Extreme Deformation –True strains above ~ 3 –Strain rate above ~ 10 3 occurs by DRX, which allows for material flow in the solid state The DRX regime is outside the “normal” deformation regime. Dynamic deformation, beyond the “normal” deformation regime, is characterized by DRX. All ASBs are a manifestation of the DRX regime.
