11 Hong Kong Academic Library Link ( 香港高校圖書聯網 ) 10 15Undergraduate Degree students can borrow 10 books from other UGC libraries via HKALL for 15 days HKALL loan quota (10 books) included in HKIEd Library loan quota availableRequest books with available status only Pick up books at MMW Library or TCL Circulation Counter You will be noticed by email when the item is ready for pickup Require to pick up books within 5 days from the date of notification

15 Interlibrary Loan  If a journal article required is not found in the Library, use the interlibrary loan service to get an electronic copy

16 JULAC (Joint University Librarians Advisory Committee) Cards UGC-funded Degree students are eligible to apply for JULAC Student Reader Cards Visit and use the collections of other UGC libraries in-house Annual registration fee $50 charged by each host library (1 Aug - 31 Jul) Admission to some libraries may be restricted during “black-out” periods of peak seasons Application can be made at the Circulation Counter, MMW Library or Town Centre Library

17  Materials with loan period  7 days may be renewed twice  The new due date is calculated from the date of renewal  You cannot renew a checked-out item if : There are holds on the item The item is overdue Maximum no. of renewals has been reached RENEWALS

19  Users may place a hold on a checked-out item with loan period  7 days  Your “hold” quotas: 20 items  Loan period may be shortened if a hold has been placed on loaned items  Email notice will be sent to you when the item is ready for pickup HOLD / RECALL

21  All library notices will be sent to you by e-mail (HKIEd email account, e.g. 1.Due date alert notice (3 days before) 2.Overdue notice 3.Item recalled notice (due date shortened) 4.Pick up notice  You may also receive Library SMS if you have activated the function. Library Notice
