(第 3 行) no matter 可以跟 what 、 who 、 which 、 where 、 when 、 how 連用。 這種用法跟 whatever 、 whoever 、 whichever 、 wherever 、 whenever 、 however 看情況有時可 以互相代換。 Please tell me everything you know about this case, no matter what it is. = Whatever you know about this case, please tell me. = Please tell me whatever you know about this case.

(第 3 行) No matter who wins, it will be a fair game. = Whoever wins, it will be a fair game. = It will be a fair game, whoever wins.
