4. Alignment: Horizontal & vertical Wrap Text Shrink to fit Merge cells Text direction Indent

5. Font: Color Bold, italic, style, effects, etc.

6. Border – This tab formats lines and borders around cells. Chose from line styles, sizes and colors to help organize your information.

7. Fill – Format colors, patterns, etc. to help organize data in a spreadsheet.

8. Adding & Deleting Columns To insert a column, click on the column button to the right of where you want to insert the new column. Right-mouse click, and choose “insert” from the menu. To delete a column, click on its column button, Right-mouse click, and choose “delete” from the menu.

9. Format in as big a block as possible. Always select all the cells you want to format the same. Do not format little pieces at a time unless necessary.

10. When resizing rows or columns, if you select all at once and resize one, Excel will resize them all. Click between the row buttons or column buttons to resize.
