My Model Materials Ice Boiling water Clear wrap Cup Circular container
The Process Boil the water. Pour it into the container. Place the cup in the center of the container. Cover container with clear wrap. Make sure to tape or secure the clear wrap so it won’t come off. Set the ice cubes on top of the wrap above the cup.
How it works The boiling water is the heat source. The thermal energy rose and hit the clear wrap (evaporation). Then the thermal energy meet the cold energy from the ice cubes on top of the clear wrap. That formed water droplets (condensation). The water droplets got too heavy to stay on the clear wrap, so it fell into the cup underneath the ice (precipitation and accumulation). You can barely see it, but under the ice is the cup.
