It offers a focused opportunity to pin down, to unpick, and to drill down into an aspect of your work that you might otherwise allow to pass you by in the pressures of everyday work and daily life. It becomes your " thing "; you store it in a pot in your mind and throw things into it as you work. Emptying and sorting the " pot " is exciting and rewarding - sharing it with others helps to consolidate and drive it forward even more.

19. I feel as though I understand the children’s thought processes better. Confidence has grown to the extent that she is now leading the meeting between parent, child and teacher. As a result of clear focus on specific barriers, a referral for SpLD has been made.
