Mandatory Grants: ATR08/09 & WSP09/10 In order to claim the Mandatory Grant which is 50% of total levies paid over to SARS during the period 1 April 2009 to 31 March 2010, a levy paying employer must submit a combined Annual Training Report and Workplace Skills Plan in the proper manner by 30 June 2009 to AgriSETA.

The AgriSETA does not require any ORIGINAL documentation. This includes: ATR/WSP applications Signed authority pages Proof of Training Banking Details E-mailed or faxed copies will be sufficient Mandatory Grants: ATR08/09 & WSP09/10
PROOF OF TRAINING: According to the New Grant Regulations employers need to submit proof of training completed before an Application may be approved for payment. We request only a SAMPLE of a maximum of 5 (five) pages of proof of training per SDL number. Proof of Training for 1 April 2008 up to 31 March 2009 may consist of the following. TYPE OF PROOF:REQUIREMENTS: 1.COPIES OF INVOICES (Preferred Proof) Date of invoice, name of company & type of training must be clearly visible. 2. And/or Copies of Certificates Company stamp must be on certificate - (Only sent copy of one certificate per course not for each learner) 3. And/or Copies of Attendance Registers - Ensure the company name is clearly stated on Registers (Company stamp may also be used) - Ensure the period or date of training is clearly stated. 4. And/or Summary of Training (Less than 50 only) - Only applicable to in-house or on-the-job training for employers employing less than 50 employees - Training completed must be confirmed on company letterhead - Period or date of training must be clearly stated - Training programs completed must clearly be stated - Must be signed by owner/Manager/Partner/Trustee Mandatory Grants: ATR08/09 & WSP09/10
Incomplete ATR/WSP If any part of the document is incomplete or incorrect AgriSETA will notify the SDF and employer at our earliest convenience. Insufficient detail or errors on these applications need to be corrected and resubmitted to AgriSETA before the application can be approved for payment. The sooner we receive the resubmission, the sooner the employer will be paid. If a resubmission is not received by 29 January 2010, the document will be regarded as a late submission, rejected and the employer will forfeit the Grant Payment Mandatory Grants: ATR08/09 & WSP09/10
Payment of Mandatory Grants Mandatory Grants are being disbursed quarterly. Dates of payments will be sent to all employers & SDF with an Approval letter. Employers will be notified of any Grant Payment via an automatic generated e-mail. The AgriSETA does not send any remittances to employers since all info will be available on the AgriSETA SMS system. SDF’s All registered SDF’s have a username and password to logon to the AgriSETA Seta Management System (SMS). It is the SDF’s responsibility to inform employers of the latest Grant Payments, new information and outstanding/incomplete information. It is the SDF’s responsibility to keep all contact details of both the employer and SDF up to date. For SDF username & password queries please contact Racquel, Lulu or Amandie at AgriSETA office. Request to all Employers & SDF: on Due to the high volume of applications received on the due date, we request that before employers & SDFs send the Application before the due date and limit the number only of pages to only those pages required. ONLY ONCE We also request that you send the Application ONLY ONCE to AgriSETA. (No need to fax and e-mail and post and deliver) SDFs & Employers should keep a copy of the ATR/WSP submitted to AgriSETA as well as all proof of the submission. A written confirmation of receipt of the application will be sent to all SDFs and Confirmation of receipt will not be done telephonically. Employers. Correspondence: All SDFs & Employers will receive the following correspondence from AgriSETA: Notice of availability of NEW format All SDFs & Employers will be notified via e-mail/fax when the new formats are available on our website Reminders of Submission All SDFs & Employers will receive 2 to 3 reminders during months/weeks prior to the due date. Confirmation of Receipt All SDFs & Employers will receive a Confirmation of Receipt of the ATR/WSP within 5 working days once received by AgriSETA. (PS: Confirmation will not be given telephonically) Notice of Incomplete/Incorrect Application: (If applicable) SDF’s & Employers will be informed of any insufficient details or errors on the application. The sooner the applications are re-submitted the sooner the employer will be paid Approval of Mandatory Grant Application SDFs & Employers will receive an Approval Letter once the fully completed application has been captured, evaluated and approved for payment by AgriSETA.
