3 The 2005 Revisions ► The Process  Proposed in 2004  Developed by NAGRA pull-tab standards committee in collaboration with industry  Adopted after membership vote ► The Purpose  Modernize and simplify ► Definitions ► Restructuring of material  Update and include information for newer games ► Opacity ► Randomization ► Minimum Information ► Packaging ► Seal card, progressive/cumulative, and event games

5 Restructuring ► Eliminate commentary ► Create sections and subsections with common elements  Construction standards

6 Updates ► Opacity  Eliminate “500 watt with or without a focusing lens” ► Randomization  Eliminate “statistical” testing ► Minimum Information  Expand the ticket size categories from 2 to 3 ► 2.5 square inches or more (standard pull-tab) ► 1.6 square inches to 2.5 square inches (“tabbies” or “chips”) ► Less than 1.6 square inches (jar tickets)  Require manufacturer’s name, form and serial number to remain when all window tabs are removed ► Packaging  Heat sealed bags  Bar codes

11 Record Keeping ► Expands licensing of manufacturers to include those persons who:  Print, cut, fold and/or band, laminate, pack or otherwise fabricate…a deal of pull-tabs ► Mandates capturing of serial numbers by manufacturers for reporting purposes
