2. I AM THE WAY In this season of economic downturn, high level of indebtedness, doom and gloom and economic uncertainties... There is a WAY out In the time of apparent political unpredictability and economic instability … There is a WAY out In the time when even the strongest nations of the world are jittery and unsure of their economies and financial balance sheet... There is a WAY out In a time when there are reports of nations going financially bankrupt and have to be rescued… There is a WAY out In the time when the nation is cutting back in every area of its normal activities as welfare, housing and healthcare… There is a WAY out In the time when the financial burdens of the citizens are unbearable due to increases in rates, fees, fines… There is a WAY out In the times when the stealth financial burdens are increased upon individuals… There is a WAY out In the time when people lose their homes due to inability to maintain mortgages and rents… There is a WAY out COME UNTO ME A lot of people are seeking help from the wrong persons and places and so they end up dejected and frustrated. the irony is the government to whom we always turned to for help and direction needs help itself. the charities we used to turn to need help themselves. the social agents and various supports are now reduced, cut or no longer available. husband or wife, family and friends that used to be our bedrock, place of refuge and safety and comfort are now threatened. But there is a friend that will always be available, trustworthy and dependable. that friend is Jesus. he will never disappoint you. HE SAID “Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”. (Matthew 11:28). He is strong, capable, well resourced, able and best of all, willing to make a way for you even when there appears to be no way and help you out of your crises. He said “They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. (Psalm 34:5-6) In the time when there is reduction in the support given and available to the people … There is a WAY out In the time when there is so much pressure, hopelessness, concerns and uncertainties about jobs and employment in the atmosphere… There is a WAY out In the time when the rate of divorce, breakdown of relationships, child abuse and all manner of domestic violence is on the increase… There is a WAY out In the time when the rate of theft, gun, knife and organised crime in on the increase… There is a WAY out In the time when there is apparent social disorder, riots, discontent, pain, frustration and darkness… There is still a WAY out.
