Be zealous, therefore...

HEBREWS 12 1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.Whereforealsocompassedaboutsogreatcloudwitnesseslayaside everyweightsin besetrunpatiencerace setbeforeLookingJesusauthorfinisherfaithwhojoysetbefore enduredcrossdespisingshameset downatrightthroneGod

HEBREWS 12 1 Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us, 2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection].

HOW.CAN.I.OVERCOME_ JEFF.IN V-4 N-12 SUNDAY_ M 33 And I want to take my subject this morning of this, "How Can I Overcome?" Now, I chose this, because that I think that it's a time that we should never let the Spirit of revival die. We've got to keep in revival, constantly revive every day. Paul said he had to die daily that Christ could live. And we must never let that revival die within us.

THY.HOUSE_ TIFTON.GA TUESDAY_ E-66 And He knew man would fail, but yet He couldn't make him fail. He had to do it on Hisself... So that makes God righteous. You see? Man fell hisself. After He made him so close to Himself, He put him on a basis of free moral agency, and therefore, there's where he fell. By his own free moral agent act he fell. And today, each one of you children and each of us adults, is placed by them same two trees. We can accept Life or refuse it.

208-2 PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.5 THE WARNING Revelation 2:16. "Repent or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth." What else can He say? Can God overlook the sin of those who have borne His Name in vain? There is only one way to receive grace in the hour of sin, REPENT. Confess you are wrong. Come to God for forgiveness and for the Spirit of God. This is a command from God.

208-2 PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.5 To disobey is death, for He says, "I will make war with you with the sword in My mouth." The beast made war with the saints, but God will make war with the beast. Those who fought the Word will one day find the Word fighting them. It is a serious thing to take from, or add to the Word of God. For those who changed it, and did with it as it suited them, what will their end be but death and destruction? But still the grace of God cries out, "Repent". Oh, how sweet are the thoughts of repentance. Nothing in my hands I bring, simply to Thy cross I cling. I bring my sorrow. I repent that I am what I am, and what I have done. Now it is the blood, nothing but the blood of Jesus. What will it be? Repentance, or the sword of death? It's up to you.

Psalm 32 [AMP] 1 Blessed is he who has forgiveness of his transgression continually exercised upon him, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord imputes no iniquity and in whose spirit there is no deceit. 3 When I kept silence [before I confessed], my bones wasted away through my groaning all the day long. 4 For day and night Your hand [of displeasure] was heavy upon me; my moisture was turned into the drought of summer. Selah 5 I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I did not hide. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord [continually unfolding the past till all is told]—then You [instantly] forgave me the guilt and iniquity of my sin. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! 6 For this [forgiveness] let everyone who is godly pray—pray to You in a time when You may be found; surely when the great waters [of trial] overflow, they shall not reach [the spirit in] him.

5 I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I did not hide. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord [continually unfolding the past till all is told]—then You [instantly] forgave me the guilt and iniquity of my sin. Selah 6 For this [forgiveness] let everyone who is godly pray—pray to You in a time when You may be found; surely when the great waters [of trial] overflow, they shall not reach [the spirit in] him.

GOD'S.PROVIDED.WAY_ W.PALM.BEACH.FL TUESDAY_ E-11 And you're bound to be backsliding constantly, so it takes a constant prayer to God. Paul said, "I die daily." And if Paul had to die daily, how much more am I going--I'm going to have to stay there dead all the time, if--if Paul had to die daily to stay right with God. And so, we'll all have to do that, just die out to ourself. And that's getting God's way.

QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS_ JEFF.IN COD SUNDAY_ M I don't know whether they got a... On backsliding, I wish somebody would go to ask--ask me that. But on backsliding, remember, you backslide every day. There's no way at all for you to keep out of it. All right. But you backslide to the people in the church, but not before God... See? You backslide on Christ, but you don't on God. 'Cause, if you--when you sin, you're gone. But you're constantly falling. Paul had to die every day. Is that right? He had to die every day, repent every day, and just constantly repenting all the time. See? And if Paul had to do that, then I'm going to have to too. Aren't you? That's right.

QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS_ JEFF.IN COD SUNDAY_ E The Bible said--Jesus said, "Let your yes be yes and your no be no, for anything more than this will come to sin." You're not supposed even to joke and cutup with one another. God will make you give an account for every idle word that you speak. Did you know that? The Bible said that you'll have to give an account for every idle word. So what kind of a people ought we to be? People that's frank, stern, loving, kind, and never a bunch of nonsense, always going along...

QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS_ JEFF.IN COD SUNDAY_ E And she'll say, "Now, Bill, there you go again." Now I have to go off in the closet somewhere and say, "Lord, forgive me; I didn't mean to say it. Do something to me; make me quit that." See?

QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS_ JEFF.IN COD SUNDAY_ E And every day I--if I do that... Now, we was talking on the word backsliding this morning. When you do that you're backslid. Yes, sir. You got to repent. Is that right? Now, I don't mean to say if you went out in the world and you did this and that, but you done something. You've got to repent and die daily to live in Jesus Christ. So every day--every day, you've got to die every day to live in Christ Jesus.

QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS_ JEFF.IN COD SUNDAY_ E You can't live so perfect till you don't make that mistake now. Now, don't you think you'll ever get that way, 'cause you won't. No, sir. You're not sinless, and you'll certainly get off on their track, on this side or on that side.

WHAT.WENT.YE.OUT.TO.SEE_ UTICA.IN THURSDAY_ I think that's about right. If we don't make mistakes, we not be doing anything.

WHAT.WENT.YE.OUT.TO.SEE_ UTICA.IN THURSDAY_ But what I like about a person is that, when you make a mistake, a real soldier is ready to rise and try again. WHAT.WENT.YE.OUT.TO.SEE_ UTICA.IN THURSDAY_ I've prayed that so much to God, that I'm ashamed of myself almost. "Let me rise and try again." WHAT.WENT.YE.OUT.TO.SEE_ UTICA.IN THURSDAY_ Now, if we just look it over, there isn't a hour through the day, hardly, but what something we do that's wrong.

WHAT.WENT.YE.OUT.TO.SEE_ UTICA.IN THURSDAY_ And now, there's no little ones or big ones; they're all big ones before God.

UNPARDONABLE.SIN_ JEFF.IN V-26 N-8 SUNDAY_ Give me Something that will take this selfishness away. Give me Something will take all this fear and doubting away. My, Lord, don't make me... If You make me shout; I've seen others shout, and didn't live it. Don't make me speak with tongues; Lord, I've seen others speak with tongues and didn't live it. But Lord, put Something in me that'll live in me, that'll make me walk every day as a Christian; that'll make me love my enemies; that'll make me speak good of those who speak evil of me; that'll make me ready to repent of anything that I do wrong, come right up and confess it. I'll say, 'I'm wrong. Forgive me, God.'" That's the kind of spirit you want, isn't it?

LAW.OR.GRACE_ JEFF.IN V-26 N-7 WEDNESDAY_ I made many mistakes, still make them, will always make them. But when I make them, the Holy Spirit tells me that's wrong. Then I repent right there, "Lord, forgive me. Didn't mean to do it. You help me now." And I walk right on, the same thing. 'Cause, just no sooner than it goes from my lips, "If we confess our sins, He's just to forgive them." Is that right? Hallelujah.

LAW.OR.GRACE_ JEFF.IN V-26 N-7 WEDNESDAY_ The Devil say, "You know what? I'll tell you. You was supposed to go do a certain thing. You didn't do it. Uh- huh, you sinned, didn't you?" I say, "I confessed it." "Well, I tell you..." "No, don't talk to me. No, sir. I have perfect faith in He Who told me. If I confess my wrongs, He'd forgive me. So I confessed it. Just go on away from me. I don't care nothing about you anyhow, so just keep moving on." Walk boldly right on into it. If death lays there, that's all right; move right on into it with a perfect faith that God has promised that He'd raise you up at the last days. Yes, sir.

BOOK.OF.EXODUS.1_ CHICAGO.IL WEDNESDAY_ Now, we have not got it in full. That's true. But we have the--the earnest of our salvation. We have the earnest. If there is... Now, we are not a past temptation. Neither are we above sin. But Jesus will help us in every temptation. And now, when I do wrong, I'm ready to repent. Anyone else is that wants to live right with God. You don't desire to do wrong, but when Satan upsets you somewhere, because there is an atonement waiting for me. If I confess my wrong, God's just to forgive it.

I JOHN 1 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Psalm 143:2 (AMP) 2 And enter not into judgment with Your servant, for in Your sight no man living is [in himself] righteous or justified.

ROMANS 3 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

GOD'S.PROVIDED.WAY_ W.PALM.BEACH.FL TUESDAY_ E-10 Now, a righteous man is not a sinless man. For you notice he said, "Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are." He had his ups-and-downs and his differences. And the Scripture of his life proves that he had his ups-and-downs like we do. And he had his times of wondering and his times that his temper got away from him, and he had a lot of things, that went wrong. But he was still a righteous man, because he confessed his unworthiness and believed in God. So that's what made him righteous.

GOD'S.PROVIDED.WAY_ W.PALM.BEACH.FL TUESDAY_ We're not righteous within ourselves; we're righteous through Jesus Christ. I cannot be sanctified within myself; I am sanctified through Jesus Christ Who stands in the--in the Presence of God in my place. It isn't my holiness; it's His holiness. My holiness won't work at all, but His does. Because God done accepted Him. And in accepting Him He had to accept me, because I'm in Him. Amen. That's what makes it real isn't it. Then we don't have to depend on ourself.

GOD'S.PROVIDED.WAY_ W.PALM.BEACH.FL TUESDAY_ Now, that doesn't make us say we can sin. Brother, if you sin, you're just--you're just away from God. That's all. There's only one thing to do, is confess it and get right with God. As long as you desire to sin, the desire of sin's still in your heart, then it's time to stay down at the altar till that thing's taken out. Now you will sin. You're bound to sin 'cause you just can't help it, but not willful sin. "He that sins willfully after he receive the knowledge of the truth (See?), there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin." But every day you're bound to sin.

CONTENDING.FOR.THE.FAITH_ GEORGETOWN.IN E-6 We're tempted. All of us are tempted. All of us sin. There's none without sin. Every day you sin. Paul said he had to die daily. And if we say we sin--and have no sin, then the Bible says we make God to lie. And we could not do that. So we sin daily. And it's grace, God's grace, that saves us. And as we confess our wrongs, God's just to forgive them. And your--your confession, as long as it holds good, your salvation is perfect, same is it was Divine healing. It's your personal faith in a resurrected Lord Jesus.

Psalm 130:3-4 (AMP) 3 If You, Lord, should keep account of and treat [us according to our] sins, O Lord, who could stand? 4 But there is forgiveness with You [just what man needs], that You may be reverently feared and worshiped.

BELIEVING.GOD_ JEFF.IN V-19 N-7 SUNDAY_ That's the natural thing. See? And if you look to any of that, you'll never live. But you've got to look to a promise that God made, and That's the promise. See, the inside of you... This outside is sin. Do you know that? Do you know your body's sin? That's the reason you don't try to perfect that body; it's sin. Did you know that? It was borned in sin, shaped in iniquity, come to the world speaking lies.

BELIEVING.GOD_ JEFF.IN V-19 N-7 SUNDAY_ But before this body can ever become perfected, the Spirit will bring it in submission to God to make you... It'll war all the time, a constant. Paul said. We'll never get more than he. See? Paul said, "When I would do good, then evil is near me. See?" And there's a constant war, the flesh against the Spirit.

BELIEVING.GOD_ JEFF.IN V-19 N-7 SUNDAY_ But now, before this flesh here, before the flesh can be perfected, it has to die like the soul died.
