Keep the learner interested Don’t distract your audience with crazy template designs Don’t go off topic Use visuals to keep learners on point with your topic but don’t get crazy.
Power point has multiple tools such as : Font/size/color Bullets Clip Art/Pictures Slide Themes Smart Art Graphics/Tables Spacing/ Paragraph Format Don’t be afraid to use them
1. Use plain text, don’t write with CAPS for your whole slide, its tires the eye. 2. Font color needs to easy to read. 3. Use bold and italics sparingly. 4. Leave some “white” space. 5. Effects should not be over done. Use the same one.
Cut out the adjectives you want to be clear. As the speaker you can fill in the rest of the information. Chop out all information that is not relevant.
All content pages should be the same, except the Title page Inconsistent slides distract the learner from your message. Stick with one theme or create your own template using the tools discussed earlier
