Week Three focuses on creating an email account and creating one document using different file types for versions of programs. Next week class is on line and will allow you to develop your research paper and allow you to experience using MSWord, Powerpoint and the internet with the Netscape Browser or all three programs to create an outline for your research paper. Hands on exposure to integrating the three programs and the internet research found.
1. In the Netscape Communicator location box enter: http://www.hotmail.com 2. In the hotmail.com website look for email links or sign up as a new email user. Click on all related links to find the register for a free email account form. 3. Fill out the form to register for a free email account. 4. Send and print email to another classmate. 5. Receive and print email received from another classmate. Activity Week Three
1. Create a MSWord document and save it in Word 97. (When selecting the file then save as option you then name the document. At this time look for the file type option and click on the arrow down button for a list of file types. 2. Open the Word 97 document for edits and resave it as a WordPerfect 5.0. 3. Reopen the WordPerfect 5.0 document and resave it as a Word 97 document again. 4. Create a Power Point document and save it in PPT 97. 5. Open the PPT 97 document for edits and resave it as a PPT 4.0 document. 6. Open the PPT 4.0 document, edit and resave it as a PPT97 document again. Activity Week Three
