12 Beyond the 5MCSE & 5MCLE Canons Retirement from NASA in 2009 Work on Eclipse Canons is Completed Inconvenience of Maps and Catalogs in separate publications Frequent use of eclipse predictions within ~500 years of present What about combining a subset of the Canon and Catalog into a smaller book (less pages)? Why not make larger maps? Personal or Public? If Public, how to publish? (print-on-demand)

13 Rational Behind New Eclipse Canons smaller (fewer pages) Canon containing both maps and catalog shorter time interval to cover period most frequently used (± 500 years) larger maps with more detail use newer ephemeris (DE406) as consistency check with 5MCSE (VSOP87 & ELP-2000/82) NASA Canons are "out-of-print" since only funded one printing option to publish the canons in a standard (black & white) and color editions good project to test print-on-demand process for future publications (eclipse bulletins?)
