Lab Goal ●Use aluminum nitrate and sodium phosphate to create 1 grams of aluminum phosphate. This reaction will take place in water. ●Determine how much of each reactant you will need and how much product you have at the end (did you really get 1 gram?)

How much of each reactant? Goal = 1 gram of aluminum phosphate. Remember: the 2 reactants (liquids) have a double replacement reaction to produce a precipitate (aluminum phospate) in water. Write a balanced equation for this to determine how much of the reactants you need (stoichiometry)....hint: water is not part of the reaction Al(NO 3 ) 3 * 9H 2 O + Na 3 PO 4 *12H 2 O  H 2 O + __ + __
