5 Jaw Dislocation (TMJ, temporal mandibular joint) MOI ◦ Blow to open mouth S/S ◦ Locked open position, teeth aren’t symmetrical TX ◦ PRICE, NSAIDS

6 Facial Laceration (collision, contact sports) MOI ◦ Direct force with sharp object S/S ◦ Pain, bleeding, obvious tearing of skin TX ◦ Wound care, refer for stitches if necessary

7 Nasal Fracture MOI ◦ Direct blow S/S ◦ Deformity and swelling at the bridge of the nose TX ◦ Treat the bleeding ◦ refer

8 Tooth Fracture MOI ◦ Blow to jaw. Above or below gum line, injury to pulp S/S ◦ Pain & bleeding, loose or missing part of tooth ◦ Rule out laceration and brain injury TX ◦ Cap tooth, refer to dentist
