Absences…what do I need? Students have 3 days to bring in notes after absence. If a student is absent for more than 3 days, the student must have a doctor’s note. If a student does not bring in the required note, the student will be counted as having an UNEXCUSED ABSENCE.

TEXAS EDUCATION CODE Section 25.085 states: COMPULSORY SCHOOL ATTENDANCE. What happens if I did not get the letter? A. If you moved, let the school know. We have the address on file from the beginning of the year. Q. Q. What happens if I don’t get a doctor’s note that day? A. The doctor’s office can fax us a note—if you call them– or your child can bring it the next day.
