25 Martin Luther King Jr.  Born on January 15,1929  The Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., was the young pastor of a church in Montgomery, Alabama when he was asked to lead the city bus boycott in 1955.  In August 1963,King led more than 200,000 people on the march on Washington D.C.
