3 On the bottom rung of your ladder spell… mispell

4 Keep the prefix mis- and add a baseword to make a word that means to take you in the wrong direction. misspell

5 mislead You should have spelled…

6 Keep the ea in mislead to make a word that means to make vanish. mislead

7 disappear You should have spelled…

8 disappear Use the black letters in disappear to make a word that means not truthful

9 dishonest You should have spelled…

10 dishonest Add letters before and after to make the word that means a “boo-boo”.

11 mistake You should have spelled…

12 mistake Use the same vowels in the base word to make a word that means the same as substitute.

13 replace You should have spelled…
